Should Katy Perry take care to protect her newly blue hair?

Katy Perry may need to be careful to look after her locks, which have recently been dyed blue, to ensure she does not experience female hair loss.Using harsh chemicals and colours on tresses is one activity experts have warned against doing too often, as it can lead to thinning.
But the change in style may be important to Perry, as she recently separated from her husband Russell Brand and could be seeking a new look.
The singer was spotted with the bright colour on her strands while filming an Adidas advert.
Speaking to US Weekly, the celebrity's stylist Rita Hazan said: "Katy wanted to go this particular colour blue for a few weeks now."
The dye specialist described the musician as "the ideal client because she loves to be creative and unpredictable with her look".
Perry's bright new crowning glory was shown off earlier today (January 18th), with photographs published in the Daily Mail showing the star at LAX airport wearing a large sunglasses, a hat and a zig-zag dress.
