Men 'increasingly seeking hair loss treatment'
Published: 4th of January 2012
More men are looking for opting for hair loss treatment to replace their thinning locks, research has shown. The Press Association reported that a study conducted by London Harley's Street Private Clinic has shown an increasing number of males are seeing surgeons about their baldness.
Over six times the number of men chose to have a thatch transplant in Manchester in 2011 compared with 2010, the figures revealed, with similar trends seen across the country.
The increase in males happy to go under the knife to replace their thinning tresses may mean less dramatic ways to promote hair growth, liking using Viviscal, will also become more popular
This may be particularly true in Yorkshire, where there has been a four-fold increase in the number of men booked for a transplant, as well as in Essex and Tyne and Wear, where five times as many blokes are going to this length to fight baldness.
Male hair loss can be the result of genetics, but some people could experience the issue after a shock to the system interrupts the growth cycle of locks.
