Hair loss spurs Kerry Katona on to try out new style

Published: 27th of September 2010
Hair loss spurs Kerry Katona on to try out new style Kerry Katona's hair loss experiences - a possible consequence of years of wearing extensions - have led the star to opt for a new cut.

An insider close to the former singer and reality TV queen noted that, although she adores her updated look, it was borne out of necessity rather than desire, the Daily Star reports.

"Her hair has been falling out in huge clumps and she was told that if she didn't take drastic action now then she could end up going bald," the source went on, adding that Katona was "absolutely mortified" to discover the state her scalp was in.

However, she is now sporting a new look that will see her take on other celebrities in this year's Dancing On Ice series.

Another famous face dealing with similar issues is Calum Best who, according to the news source, has been making regular visits to an Irish hair loss clinic.
