Money worries and stress could be a contributing factor to thinning hair
Published: 10th of September 2010
Many experts agree that intense periods of stress or anxiety can contribute or cause thinning hair, although there is yet to be a wealth of scientific information to back this idea up.That said, there may be more things for people to worry about than ever before. One of the main concerns for consumers, especially since the recession, is money.
And one professional believes it has never been so difficult to put cash aside for retirement - a time supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable.
"The barriers for people who save are higher than they have ever been before," Robin Ellison, partner at Pinsent Masons, explains.
His comments follow recent research from Scottish Widows which found that financial concerns were the biggest challenge faced by retirees.
Some 30 per cent said they did not have enough money to take advantage of their free time.
Meanwhile, a study by Aviva also discovered that the main fear for those aged over 55 was the rising cost of living.
