Bollywood star says she found hair loss liberating

A Bollywood actress who voluntarily underwent hair loss for a role has revealed that she found the results liberating.Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle, Antara Mali - who shaved her head for her part in mol Palekar’s movie And Once Again - explained that at first she had struggled with her decision.
Having always been viewed as a beauty, the star was concerned that she would feel less feminine and slightly "asexual" if she lost her locks.
However, she said that later she came to terms with it and her experience has "transformed" her.
"My interactions became pure ... beauty creates a block in front of you. Once the competition is gone, you connect with others on a human level," Mali explained.
And she is not the only thespian to lose her locks for a role. Demi Moore famously cut off her hair for her role in GI Jane, while Natalie Portman shaved her head for V for Vendetta.
