Gail Porter shows off latest style

The woman who became a figurehead for hair loss in the eyes of many Britons has appeared in public again, showing off the progress her locks have made.Gail Porter - television presenter and model - was photographed at the Edinburgh Television Festival, where she was doing a stint as a stand-up comedian.
The star, who shocked the world when she revealed her alopecia in 2005, emerging with a bald head and no eyelashes or eyebrows, has been lauded as a role model for men and women going through the same situation.
Ms Porter has admitted in the past to lacking self-esteem due to the condition but appears to have emerged stronger.
She modelled a plaid shirt at the event, with her spiky new blonde regrowth pushed back in an Alice band.
It also appears that Ms Porter has had her tresses highlighted, which may be a good move for ladies trying to regain control over their strands.
However, over-styling is said to be one of the causes of damage which can result in hair loss, so it could be wise to consult with a trichologist before planning such a measure.
