Is Tamara Beckwith suffering from female hair loss?

Another celebrity has been spotted out with signs of what appears to be female hair loss, raising fears that this problem is more frequently being caused by rough styling.The Daily Mail published photographs of socialite Tamara Beckwith with her blonde locks pulled back into a messy up-do, revealing a bald patch on the side of her scalp.
Despite usually looking as though she has a thick head of hair, the pictures seem to show that the television presenter suffers from thinning tresses, which might possibly be caused by harsh chemicals in the dye used to keep them blonde.
However, according to Marylin Sherlock, chair of the Institute of Trichologists, it is more likely that the problem is incited by overbearing styling.
Calling it "traction", she likened it to the recent case of supermodel Naomi Campbell, pictured with a similar bald patch.
"[It's] an issue with the latest fashion trend of wearing added hair extensions for long periods of time," Ms Sherlock told the publication.
Meanwhile, Gail Porter - a fellow TV presenter who has suffered with alopecia for a number of years - recently showed off her newly-sprouting locks on a chat show.
