Healthy lifestyle 'can reduce hair loss risk'
Published: 28th of June 2010
People can reduce their risk of suffering from hair loss if they stick to a healthy lifestyle. This is according to a Helium article written by Danelle Karth, who suggested that eating a balanced diet that includes plenty of fruit and vegetables is beneficial for the strength of tresses.
In addition, individuals need to ensure they are getting sufficient levels of nutrients.
One example of this is protein, which is known to enhance the health of locks.
Meanwhile, lifestyle, stress and genetics are also factors that can increase the chances of people suffering from a thinning of their tresses.
Those who have hereditary hair loss can see it speed up if they are under pressure, she stated.
Ms Karth went on to note that the loss of locks "is never a good thing" and it can make people feel "very self-conscious".
Indeed, "just the idea of losing your hair can cause these feelings", she claimed.
