Celeb at risk of hair loss?

Kelly Osbourne has claimed she suffers from a thyroid disorder, meaning it is possible she is at an increased risk of hair loss.The reality TV star has shed a significant amount of weight recently and when questioned about her new figure, she stated she has hyperthyroidism, Celebrities With Diseases reports.
There are many symptoms associated with malfunctions of the gland aside from weight fluctuations, with a thinning of the tresses one of these.
According to the news source, while doctors want Kelly to undergo treatment for her problem, the 25-year-old is not keen.
It said thyroid.about.com reported her as commenting: "My doctors want me to start taking steroids for it but I don't want to put all the weight back on again."
There are a number of signs of hyperthyroidism, including a redness of the palms of patient's hands and patchy hair loss, as well as itchy skin and a rapid resting heart rate.
