Blow drying 'can boost thinning hair'
Published: 7th of June 2010
Women worried about their thinning hair may be interested to hear there are a number of things that can give their locks a boost, including a simple blow dry. This is the opinion of the Edinburgh Evening News, which recently offered tips to those concerned about their aging tresses.
Speaking to the publication, local hairdresser Jason Miller said: "As you get older your hair, just like your skin, will show signs of deterioration as it becomes thinner and more vulnerable."
However, the news source suggested injecting as much volume as possible by "blasting hair upside down, before sectioning off the hair".
People should then blow dry their mane with the use of a vent brush and make sure they point the nozzle of the dryer down the hair shaft, to add more shine.
The remarks follow those from Alison Dace, hair expert at leading hair and beauty salon group Saks, who said bobs are a good option for thinning hair.
