Published: 1st of June 2010
Men whose tresses begin to thin can suffer embarrassment as a result, it has been claimed.Writing in the Scotland on Sunday, Ruth Walker noted that there are a number of celebrities who have undergone treatment for hair loss recently in a bid to alter the way they look.
Among these is Dr Christian Jessen, who is one of the presenters of Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies.
He underwent a hair transplant in a bid to thicken his locks.
The procedure involved taking hair from the back of his head and replanting it at the front, to give the appearance of a fuller set of tresses.
Meanwhile, footballer Ryan Giggs has also recently had treatment to thicken his locks.
Those keen to minimise their risk of suffering from hair loss may want to ensure they consume sufficient levels of protein, as this is known to enhance the health of people's locks.
