Hair loss 'can be a problem'
Published: 25th of May 2010
Losing hair can be a problem for people who are keen to look their best, it has been noted.Writing on JOE, presenter, broadcaster and stylist Darren Kennedy stated that tresses are one of the most important things when it comes to personal image.
For those who still have their locks, he said: "[It] is the one thing you wear every single day - whether you're dressing casually or for a formal occasion, your hair is perhaps the single most versatile and important 'accessory' you have."
Mr Kennedy went on to point out that the stresses people confront in their everyday lives can increase their chances of baldness.
Making sure sufficient vitamins and minerals are taken can help to mitigate such effects, he claimed.
There are a number of high-profile people who have suffered as a result of hair loss.
Among them are vivacious Scot Gail Porter - whose locks are now returning - and comedian Matt Lucas.
