Hair loss sufferer 'cannot stay out in the sun'

A woman who is suffering from hair loss has noted that the condition means she is no longer able to stay out in the sun without taking special precautions.Patty Kelley revealed that if she is outside for longer than ten to 15 minutes without a hat on, her scalp begins to get sunburned, WGCL Atlanta reports.
The 58-year-old began shedding her tresses after going through the menopause and has tried many methods of stopping the process.
One way in which people can try to avoid losing their locks is by ensuring they have sufficient levels of protein in their diets.
Commenting on the issue of baldness, Dr Ken Anderson said it is not uncommon among female patients.
He claimed that around 50 per cent of women will experience it to some degree after they reach middle age.
The medical expert also noted that people are prepared to try a range of treatment options in a bid to halt the decline of hair.
