Porter: Hair loss will not kill me
Published: 7th of May 2010
Celebrity Gail Porter has noted that while she may not want it to happen to her again, suffering hair loss will not kill her.Speaking in an interview on GMTV, the feisty Scot said she is pleased her tresses have grown back after five years of alopecia, but she is not taking anything for granted, Digital Spy reports.
She remarked: "I know people who have had alopecia and their hair has grown back and then fallen out again. So you know what, I'm taking every day as it comes."
The TV and radio personality went on to state that she wishes she could tell fellow sufferers of the condition that she did something special to regain her tresses but in fact she did not.
According to Porter, the disease is "very odd".
She acknowledged the importance of her relationship with rocker Jonny Davies as one of the factors that may have helped.
Recently, the pair were pictured enjoying a day out in Alton Towers.
