Hair loss is tough, woman says
Published: 21st of April 2010
Losing one's tresses is difficult, according to a woman whose hair is falling out.Talking to BOSSIP, Rosa Acosta noted that she has had to cut her locks because of the condition.
She said that she has to make her hair short so she can concentrate on getting her scalp healthy and encouraging new growth.
Commenting on the importance of tresses to women, she said: "There is a certain femininity in the hair but it doesn't stop there, it's about your mannerisms, the way you talk, the way you walk and the way you carry yourself."
Fellow hair loss sufferers should accept their reality and make the most of what they have, Ms Acosta went on to suggest.
She has been shedding her locks for over a decade, she revealed, adding that when she wants to grow her mop again, she will.
Those concerned about losing their hair may want to ensure they are getting sufficient levels of protein as this is known to contribute to the health of tresses.
