Published: 30th of March 2010
When people begin to lose their tresses, they can suffer considerable stress, it has been claimed.According to an Oromo Index article, a lack of awareness about the science behind the problem can be a cause of worry.
It said: "Some people may experience a great deal of stress when they realise that they are starting to lose their hair."
In order to deal with anxiety over the issue, people need to remove some of the uncertainty and to discover that there are ways to tackle it.
The news source said: "If you understand the biology of hair you will know what makes hair fall out."
It went on to note some of the reasons why individuals lose their locks, saying genetics can play a role.
As well as causing stress, hair loss can be a result of such worries.
One person who believes she went bald due to personal concerns is Gail Porter, who now claims to be happier and has seen a re-growth of her tresses.
