Hair loss 'can cause depression'

People who experience hair loss can become depressed about their situation, it has been claimed.According to a piece in A Pakistan News, many individuals face baldness during their lives, with those aged over 40 particularly at risk.
The problem can result in people becoming self-conscious about their appearances, the article noted.
While some develop hair loss for genetic reasons, others do so because of lifestyle factors, it went on to suggest.
There are a number of ways to mitigate the risks of losing tresses, it added, including using the right shampoo and having a balanced diet.
Getting sufficient levels of protein is known to be important in sustaining the health of locks.
A Pakistan News concluded by advising that some people may need to consult a doctor if they find their hair is thinning to see what the problem is.
Sometimes there can be underlying health issues, such as thyroid conditions, which are causing the baldness.
