Celebrity cook reveals hair loss experience

Celebrity cook and affable northerner Dave Myers - one half of the Hairy Bikers - has spoken of his experience of losing his locks as a youngster.In a show at the Princess Theatre, he told the audience that he suffered from alopecia totalis as a teenager, the South Devon Herald Express reports.
The publication paid tribute to his honesty on the subject.
It is not the first time Dave has opened up about his hair loss, with the Daily Mail last year publishing an interview in which he detailed the time when he lost his tresses.
The 51-year-old, who lives with his partner and two stepchildren on Roa Island, recalled how his mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when he was eight.
He stated: "My hair began falling out then and when I was 14, I developed alopecia."
The biker went on to say that, over a period of three weeks, he would wake up each morning to discover clumps of hair in his bed sheets.
