Men suffering from hair loss 'should not grow their locks'
Published: 2nd of March 2010
Men have been advised against growing their tresses long if they find themselves suffering from hair loss.Writing on UKMedix Health News, Richard Simmons said this is the "worst step" people can take when baldness becomes apparent.
He said: "In fact, the opposite applies and thinning hair should be dealt with by cutting your hair short. Short hair lessens the impact of any thinning parts and can even completely disguise them."
Mr Simmons acknowledged that some men may use medications in order to try and combat hair loss.
One example of such treatments is protein supplements, which people may take in addition to a healthy diet.
Meanwhile, those who resign themselves to losing their locks may consider shaving their heads completely as this can look good on some people, he added.
Individuals who do this should ensure they use a good razor and replace it the moment it begins to get blunt, he went on to suggest.
