'Many men' have some hair loss by 35
Published: 25th of February 2010
By the time they reach 35, many men experience some degree of hair loss, it has been claimed.Writing in the Sun, Dr Keith suggested that around 40 per cent of males have this problem mid-way through their fourth decade.
There are a number of treatment options available to those who wish to retain their locks, the medical expert noted.
However, in some cases, people may have to accept that they are not able to sustain a full head of hair, Dr Keith added.
In such cases, "don't do anything hare-brained about your hair loss, such as resorting to a Bobby Charlton comb-over", he advised.
Recently, Dr Larry Shapiro pointed out that many factors can lead to individuals' tresses falling out.
For example, genetics, anesthesia, the use of growth hormone-based supplements during weight training and the taking of weight-loss products can all have this affect, as well as natural or self-induced hormone changes.
