Hair loss sufferers 'can benefit from new cosmetic developments'

People suffering from the hair loss condition alopecia may be able to benefit from new cosmetic procedures, it has been noted.As well as shedding locks on the scalp, such people can lose hair on the rest of their bodies, including their eyebrows and lashes.
One famous person to have experienced this is Gail Porter, although her tresses appear to be returning now, thanks in part to changes in her personal life.
An article in the Daily Mail points out that alopecia sufferers can now make use of new surgical techniques to get back their eyebrows.
It stated: "Previously, it was almost impossible to replicate the natural angle and growth of the eyebrow and lashes."
Now, however, one follicle can be implanted at a time and surgeons are able to control the direction of the hair, making it appear more natural.
The technology can also be used to give people eyelashes, the publication pointed out.
