Men with hair loss 'seen as more trustworthy'
Published: 5th of February 2010
Although most people aim to avoid hair loss if possible, new research has shown that men with the condition can sometimes be viewed as more trustworthy.According to a study conducted by Ukmedix News, there are some professions in which it could be beneficial to have male pattern baldness.
It found that both men and women are more likely to trust accountants, doctors and bank managers who have shed their locks than older men who have a full head of hair.
In addition, women tend to think that men with male pattern baldness - which is the most common form of hair loss and is also known as androgenic alopecia - are more likely to make good and responsible fathers, the survey found.
However, Ukmedix News pointed out that there are some professions for which hair is considered a plus, such as acting.
It stated: "Even though everybody likes to talk about how they don't judge people purely on their image, the fact is that first impressions make a big difference."
