Agassi admits to wearing wig following hair loss

Former world number one tennis player Andre Agassi has spoken about the psychological battle he faced with hair loss.Excerpts from his autobiography have revealed that his iconic hairstyle, sported in the 1990s, was actually a wig.
"Every morning I would get up and find another piece of my identity on the pillow, in the wash basin, down the plughole," wrote Agassi.
The Grand Slam champion chose to wear a hairpiece but revealed that he constantly worried that it would fall while on court, particularly during the 1990 French Open final.
Recent research, commissioned by Viviscal and directed by Dr Nigel Hunt of the University of Nottingham, revealed that nearly 15 million people in the UK experience some form of hair loss at any given time, with a feeling of lost identity a common psychological effect.
Agassi's book, Open, provoked controversy last week after the star revealed that he had lied about drug use to the sport's authorities.
