Stressful lifestyle 'contributes to hair loss'
Published: 26th of October 2009
Hair loss has been highlighted as one of the potential side effects of a stressful lifestyle.Writing for Parade Magazine, Dr Ranit Mishori explained that anxiety can have a range of negative effects.
While it is beneficial in the short term, as the body responds by providing adrenaline to temporarily boost strength, speed and stamina, she noted that sustained pressure can lead to health problems.
In addition to an increased risk of heart attacks, headaches and common skin problems, the expert observed that hair loss is known to occur in some people as a result of stress.
Those who are concerned that they will suffer from the condition may wish to use hair loss treatments, as they may be able to minimise or prevent future problems.
Other frequent causes of hair loss were recently emphasised by a piece on Articlesbase, with nutritional problems that can be created by crash diets among them.
