Zoo event to see donations for hair loss
Published: 29th of July 2010
Zoo event to see donations for hair loss Some zoo fun could be on the agenda for children with hair loss in Cleveland.

Charity Wigs for Kids, which caters to youngsters who have gone bald through various conditions, is set to hold a fundraiser at the city-named animal park.

Attendees will have the chance to walk around the facility, visiting the creatures who reside there, or even take part in a five-kilometre fun run.

Topping off the day will be the Cut-a-Thon, in which volunteers will see their tresses being sheared to collect enough to formulate a hairpiece for a child in need.

Furthermore, participants can join in a treasure hunt, wear a new T-shirt get free entry into the zoo and surrounding facilities, and take part in a raffle for a small fee.

And those wanting to get involved may do well to contact the organisation if they follow the advice in Slate magazine recently, which recommended do-gooders look into volunteering with a hair loss charity.
