Hair loss 'affects celebrities'
Published: 12th of November 2009
A number of celebrities have to deal with the pressures of hair loss, it has been claimed.According to UKmedix News, the fact that they are constantly in the public eye means people like actors may be more worried about losing their hair than average males.
The news source stated that Jude Law, Ben Affleck, John Travolta and Edward Norton are all the subject of speculation regarding their hair, noting that cosmetic appearance is often linked to their "earning power and desirability as actors".
It remarked that "the people who really suffer from the psychological implications of hair loss are celebrities whose every move is monitored by the world media", adding that by going bald, actors could see their status in Hollywood diminish.
Many celebrities have blamed stressful events as a reason for their hair loss, with comedian Matt Lucas telling the Sun recently that his baldness may have been partially caused by the trauma of a car accident he was involved in at a young age.
